Ester Alba Pagán, Associate Professor of the Art History Department of the University of Valencia, has just been appointed Vice-Rector for Culture and Sports of the University of Valencia. She is the first woman to assume this position. Her experience in managing it, especially after her six years as dean of the Faculty of Geography and History (2012-2018); her renowned research career in the field of cultural heritage, museology and various fields of art history, especially Valencian; as well as her consolidated contribution in knowledge transfer as director of R&D projects and her own postgraduate courses, curator of exhibitions or coordinator of dissemination actions in museums, publications, seminars, etc. they are a guarantee to magnificently face the challenge of this new position. The Departament d'Història de l'Art is proud of the contributions and successes of its members for all that they mean.
