María Avenza Ivars works as a non-doctoral researcher at the Chair of Family Business at the University of Valencia. She is a doctoral student in the ‘Business Management’ programme at the same university, where she focuses her research on the analysis of family businesses and the family outcomes associated with this type of organisation. She has also worked as a substitute lecturer at the University of Valencia. She holds a double degree in Tourism and Business Administration from the University of Valencia and a Master's degree in Quality Management. Her academic career has been recognised with several awards and distinctions, including: the Extraordinary Master's Degree Award from the University of Valencia, the Collaboration Grant from the Ministry of Education, and recognition as a young researcher at the ICIEBE 2023 Congress held in Valencia. |

Andrea Pallás Rocafull is graduated in International Business by the University of València (2018), has a master's degree with Extraordinary Award in the Master's Degree in Business Strategy by the University of València (2020) and is a Doctor in Business Management by the University of València (2025). Currently, she works as a postdoctoral Research Staff in Training assigned to the Department of Business Management (under contract ACIF/2021/322, subsidized by the Generalitat Valenciana) and is a member of the INGLOBEST research group since 2021. Her research areas focus on business internationalization, governance and upgrading in Global Value Chains, the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and sustainable strategies at both social and environmental levels. These topics were addressed in her Doctoral Thesis, titled "SMEs' sustainable upgrading in Global Value Chains: An institutional and network approach", which was rated as Excellent/Outstanding with a Cum Laude mention and an International Mention. In this sense, she has participated in both national and regional research projects, where she has collaborated as a member of the work team in functions such as data analysis and dissemination, being part of several knowledge transfer projects and two teaching innovation projects at the same time. In terms of research, on the one hand, she is a member of international associations such as the European International Business Academy (EIBA), Academy of International Business (AIB) or the Scientific Association of Economics and Business Management (ACEDE). In addition, she has attended numerous conferences presenting her scientific articles and has also participated in these conferences as session chair, member of the organizing team, and as co-organizer of a special track. On the other hand, she is co-author of two book chapters and a research book published by prestigious editorials and has published her work in journals such as European Planning Studies, Long Range Planning or Papeles de Economía Española. |

François Perruchas has a PhD from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) with a specialization in Economy of Science and Innovation, and a Master’s degree in Innovation and Technology Management from the UTC (Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France). His main research is on the socio-economic processes involved in environmental sustainability, in particular the determinants and the effects of green technology development, generation and diffusion of green specific know-how. He has a significant track record of high-quality publications in this topic and others related to Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) studies. He has long-term experience as team member of large-scale research projects such as the Research Infrastructure for Science and Innovation Policy Studies (RISIS 2) funded by the European Commission under Horizon 2020, several projects sponsored by the National R&D plan of the Spanish Ministry of Innovation and Science and he has received in 2022 the Ramon y Cajal Fellowship Award. He is actively engaging the academic community by presenting regularly at major international conferences and peer-reviewed articles for major scientific journals. He is also committed with Open Science values, working on an infrastructure to bring high quality datasets and methods required in the field of STI studies, and providing both the datasets he produces and research outputs to the community through open repositories or dedicated websites. |
