On 12 February, as part of the EuroLeague match between Valencia Basket Club y LDLC ASVEL, was held a ceremony for the awards of the Basketball Chair of l'Alqueria del Basket, aimed at recognizing the best academic papers related to basketball for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The awards, oriented at promoting the applied research and development of knowledge in the field of the basketball, distinguished the following projects:
- The Best Master’s degree final project (1.000 €): David López Sotomayor
- The Best Undergraduate degree final project (800 €): Ariadna García Martínez
- The Best Undergraduate degree final project in Vocational Training (400 €): Pablo Sanz Fontaneda
The award ceremony was attended by:
- Rosa María Donat Beneito, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Transfer in the Universitat de València
- Ferran Calabuig Moreno, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences
- Josep Crespo Hervás, Director of the Basketball Chair at l’Alqueria del Basket
- Víctor Luengo, Director of Institutional Relations at Valencia Basket
With this initiative, the Chair reassures its commitment to promoting the talent, academic excellence, the transfer of knowledge to the professional environment, fostering the connection between the university environment and the reality of high performance sport.
