InAlyzer (Medikors.Inc) Ref.12100
DXA Body Composition Analyser for Laboratory Animals
Brand: InAlyzer (Medikors.Inc) Ref.12100
Type: Equipment

InAlyzer (MEDIKORS INC.) is a body composition analyser for laboratory animals using DXA (Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) with FAM BEAM 2 technology using a dual DR and DXA imaging model.    This instrument provides accurate results of mineral content and density, bone, body composition (BMC, FAT, LEAN) of laboratory animals, in units of 0.001g without dissection, allowing serial evaluation of several laboratory animals after anaesthesia.

Description

Academic and pharmaceutical researchers commonly analyse the body composition of laboratory animals for investigations of genetics, cellular physiology and agents affecting soft tissue composition. InAlyzer provides the basis of that application for various sizes of laboratory animals (rats, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, monkeys, etc.).

This system is used to analyse BMD (bone mineral density) and body composition (BMC, FAT, LEAN) of laboratory animals in units of 0.001g with a measurement error range of 1%.

Outstanding features:

  • It has a wide scanning area (Standard: 140mm x 210mm, Options: 210mm x 315mm), from small animals such as mice and rats (weight 10~50g) to medium animals such as dog, cat, rabbit and guinea pig in BMD and BMC analysis.
  • Provides total and ROI (Region of Interest) results for BMD and body composition.
  • Provides accurate total body results and each ROI for BMD and body composition such as spine, femur and humerus. Up to 30 different regions can be selected at once.
  • Optional Mode and Time Analysis Offers three modes of analysis:
    • Quick analysis (Quick).
    • Triple analysis (Optimum).
    • Quintuple analysis (Precision).
  • Quick mode, which takes only one minute with 24 seconds of X-ray operation. (Optimum mode: 3 min, Precision mode: 6 min). (Optimum mode: 3 min, Precision mode: 6 min).
  • Accuracy: <1% error range (CV. Phantom).
  • Export of the analysis result (Excel, Tiff, etc.).
  • Offers high-resolution graphics 4.9lp/mm with a linear detector (54μm).
Practical implementation
  • Analysis of BMD (Bone Mineral Density) and body composition (BMC, FAT, LEAN) of laboratory animals.
Quality certifications

The equipment complies with the requirements set out by the E.C.  (2014/30/EU), in addition to complying with the regulations on medical devices required by current legislation (EN 61326-1:2013, EN 61000-3-2:2014, EN 61000-3-3-3:2013).

Terms of use

BMD and BMC, FAT, LEAN can be determined in small, live, anaesthetised animals.
