David Aviñó Belenguer has a Law Degree (2004) and a Doctor in Law -Civil- (2014) from the University of Valencia (UV). Likewise, he has a Diploma in Management and Public Administration (2011) from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).

Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the University of Valencia (Civil Law). Participates as a member in research groups and research projects related to the study of European and digital private law and personal data protection. He also participates in teaching innovation groups and projects.

His research work is carried out in some branches of civil law: tort law, data protection, consumer law, real estate law, alternative dispute resolution, etc.; and in some branches of administrative law, such as urban planning and the environment, expropriations and property liability.

He earned his PhD in Law from the Universities of Valencia and Bologna, receiving the distinction of sobresaliente cum laude, with a dissertation entitled La determinación del daño contractual resarcible en el Código Civil español, devoted to the legal criteria for the quantification of contractual loss.

His publications address contemporary issues in contract law and tort law, with particular interest in the scope of compensable damage and the development of modern private law. He teaches courses on obligations, contracts, and tort law.
