Doctoral student Guido Martinolli successfully defended his thesis “Assessment and Analysis of the Psychological and Unit Climate for Well-Being. Exploring Its Mediator Role in the Relationship between Teleworking Components, Well-Being, and Scientific Productivity as an Exemplar” on 15 November.
The research focuses on the Organisational Climate Scale (ECO) by Toro (1992, 1996, 2008) to rate the organisational climate related to Latin America well-being. The study validated the scale in Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Panama analysing reliability and validity. He also explored the relation between remote jobs and climate considering factors such as quantity, frequency and flexibility. The results confirm the validity of the ECO Scale in these countries and reflect on the importance of remote jobs as a component of organisational climate for the well-being.
