Doctoral Programme in Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Social and Health Care for Dependent People

Admission to the Programme shall be based on the following criteria rated on a scale of 0 to 10:
1. Entry requirements (Master’s degree or equivalent), on the basis of its suitability to the recommended profile (up to 5 points). Recommended profile (Master's Degree in Social and Health Care or similar) 5 points. Other profiles: 2.5 points
2 Average grade of the academic record of the degree required to entry (up to 1.5 points). The average grade of the academic record, rated on a scale of 0 to 10, will be taken into account. The average grade will be multiplied by 0.25 points.
3 Curriculum (up to 1.5 points):
3.1 Collaboration grants and/or Pre-doctoral Research Contract. 0.25 points every year, up to a maximum of 0.5 points.
3.2. Special award of Diplomatura, Licenciatura (former Spanish undergraduate degree), undergraduate degree or master’s degree. 0.125 points for each of the awards obtained, up to a maximum of 0.25 points.
3.3. Publications related with the subject of the programme. 0.125 points for every publication, up to a maximum of 0.25 points.
3.4. Previous work experience related with the subject of the programme. 0.25 points every year, up to a maximum of 0.5 points.
4 Motivating letter (Up to 2 points) It will marked to the extent that the given application may express:
·A motivation to fill a gap or to improve a protocol for action in the promotion of the autonomy and social care to dependent people
·An objective to develop, adapt and trans-culturally validate procedures, tools and measuring instruments in the thematic of the Doctoral Studies to our specific socio-cultural scope. ·A desire to translate good practice and/or transfer to society developments in the field of social care to dependent people
Commitment to internationalise the research in the promotion of autonomy and social care to dependent people either from physical therapy activity and sport or either physical therapy, nursing, physiotherapy, or social work. 10% of the places available will be reserved for part-time students, understood as students with a dedication to the programme activities of less than 25 hours per week.
These criteria must complement the specific fields of the Master’s Degree which give access to this programme, according to the article 6.1 of the RD 99/2011 for the access, on a general basis, to a doctoral programme it will be necessary to hold official Degree qualifications, or equivalent, and of the University Master’s Degree.
if the access is form other degrees or licenciaturas (Spanish former undergraduate degree) with less emphasis on their curricula in DATA DESIGN AND ANALYSIS contents for empiric researches, should be quantitative or qualitative, students should successfully pass a prior training geared towards levelling the required/necessary knowledge to the potential researches in social care to dependent people.Once the admission list to the doctoral programme is made public, (Master's Degree in Social and Health Care in Dependency Academic Coordinating Committee) will communicate where appropriate the necessary competencies to achieve the qualifications prior to the beginning of the Doctoral Studies, of those whose valuation of their application and expedient to reveal evidence of methodological shortcomings. All this information and the materials in which their study has been supported and and qualification are compiled and approved with the CCD agreement. Therefore, we insist that it is advisable that students have knowledge on INFERENCIAL AND DESCRIPTIVE DATA ANALYSIS in quantitative methodology. Qualitative knowledge is also very important but to do so, the doctoral programme has its teaching geared towards information processing competencies with the most versatile and updated software available.
