Doctoral Programme in Sustainability and Peace in the Post-Globalisation Era

Basic competencies:

 

  1. Systematic understanding of a field of study and mastery of the skills and methods of research associated with that field.

Other competencies:

 

  1. Ability to analyse the economic indicators that currently govern the operation of the market and the financial economy, as well as theoretical and practical development of the social economy, fair trade and development cooperation.
  2. Ability to understand and manage Agreements, Treaties and Protocols on human rights and international organisations of universal, regional and local scope.
  3. Ability to understand the causes and development of armed conflict. Ability to know instruments of mediation, negotiation and intervention in armed conflict, as well as the management of international human rights and international humanitarian law governing such activities.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of current techniques for biomedical and biotechnological research and ability to provide answers and alternatives to the ethical challenges they pose.
  5. Knowledge of the impact of the religious factor in the various identities and the complex articulation of multicultural  societies.
  6. Deepening the phenomenon of disability and the rights of persons with disabilities.
  7. Deepening the gender perspective for transverse understanding of phenomena related to poverty,  discrimination and violence.
