Doctoral Programme in Optometry and Vision Sciences

Preferential admission will be granted to those who hold a Bachelor's degree in Optics and Optometry. Qualifications in the area of Health Sciences will also be considered as preferential, as well as foreign higher education qualifications subject to prior approval in accordance with the regulations in force for this purpose.

The following selection criteria will be considered when admitting students:

1) Curriculum vitae, up to 100 points and with a weighting of 90% in the final score, considering:

1.1) Academic record, up to 40 points (average grade of the academic record calculated in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 1125/2003 for Spanish studies, and in the case of foreign studies, obtained in accordance with the equivalences established by the Ministry of Education between the qualifications of these foreign systems and those of the Spanish educational system).

1.2) Professional experience, up to 20 points.

1.3) Workshops and seminars, attendance at conferences, training courses, publications, stays at other universities, up to 30 points.

1.4) Knowledge of languages of scientific interest, up to 10 points.

2) Personal interview, with a weighting of 10% in the final score. In this interview the following will be assessed:

2.1) Research experience in projects in the field of the research lines associated with the program, especially that carried out in the master's thesis (50%).

2.2) Knowledge of the candidate of the research lines associated with the doctoral program (50%).
