Doctoral Programme in Sustainability and Peace in the Post-Globalisation Era

SELECTION CRITERIA:

 

For their admission and selection, students will be assessed based on their academic record (40%), their curriculum vitae (30%) and a personal interview (30%). Both the academic record and the rest of merits mentioned by students need to be properly accredited and written in Spanish, Valencian or Italian.
The assessment criteria for these three requirements are the following:

Academic Record:

  • Degree’s average mark: 20%
  • Average mark of doctorate-related subjects: the ones assigned to the fields of Legal Philosophy and International Public Law in the Degree pursued by the student, 20%
  • Average master’s degree mark: 60%

Obtained academic awards will also be taken into account, such as the Extraordinary End-of-Degree Award and the Extraordinary End-of-Master’s Degree Award, each granting an additional 5% to the percentage obtained from the above-mentioned calculation, with no possibility of exceeding the corresponding academic record’s 100% score.

Curriculum Vitae:

  • Publications related to the Master’s research lines (number of publications and the medium on which they were made) 25%
  • Other publications (number of publications and medium on which they were published) 10%
  • Research awards 10%
  • Work experience (work field or institution and number of years) 20%
  • Experience as collaborator or voluntary worker (organisation or institution where said work was carried out and its duration) 25%
  • Languages 10%

Personal interview:

  • Level of interest shown in the Doctoral Programme 30%

The level of interest is weighted by taking into account the student’s expressions during the interview and the priority with which the student applied for the programme upon carrying out pre-enrolment in doctoral studies.

  • Experiences in proof of the student’s commitment towards the Doctoral Programme’s subjects. 40%
  • Fluency in Spanish. 30%

Foreign student’s familiarity with Spanish is weighted as follows: C2 30%, C1 20%, B2 10%, B1 5%.

However, should a student demonstrate an equivalent linguistic knowledge during the interview, he or she will be given a mark for each of these levels.
