3. Seminarios entre estudiantes: Descripción.
Actividad Obligatoria: 50 Horas. Código: 50029
Son seminarios organizados por los estudiantes del Programa de Doctorado junto con los investigadores en estancia postdoctoral de los grupos de investigación que participan en este programa. Los doctores senior tienen prohibida la asistencia a estos seminarios. El objetivo es que los estudiantes trabajen sin la presión de ser juzgados por sus directores y, dirigiéndose a otros compañeros, estén obligados a presentar su trabajo de forma sencilla y clara a físicos no especialistas de su tema de tesis doctoral. La presencia de doctores jóvenes con contrato posdoctoral cumple dos objetivos: i) de alguna manera les da una idea del progreso que deben alcanzar con los años y ii) siendo investigadores que han hecho su tesis en otros países, les transmiten una visión de cómo se realizan las cosas en ellos.
Es una actividad que se considera obligatoria. La estimación en horas se divide en 25 horas de preparación del propio seminario y 25 horas de asistencia a los seminarios de otros estudiantes. La lengua de cada seminario la escoge el estudiante que da la conferencia, pudiendo ser inglés, castellano o valenciano.
Existe un estudiante responsable de la organización en cada departamento o instituto. Cada estudiante del programa de doctorado, previamente a la realización de su presentación, entregará un resumen sobre su contenido que será recogido por el estudiante responsable correspondiente. Estos estudiantes informarán a la Comisión Académica de la realización de los seminarios, transmitiendo los resúmenes citados.
