The current discussions about the electric car and the recharging solutions will be addressed in this conference. This disruptive technology is emerging and appears daily in the media. The conference will address the current phase of development of electric cars and the issues that are being debated. The technical aspects and the recharging issues will also be discussed.

 

The issue will be approached from two different standpoints:

  • Engineering and electric mobility
  • Issues that drivers should know

 

Biography:

Javier Tomás is a telecommunication technical engineer specialised in Electronic Systems (Universitat de València) and finished his graduate studies with an Erasmus study grant at VIA UNIVERSITY COLLEAGE (Denmark). In addition, he studied a master’s degree in photovoltaics at the UPV. Since 2017 he is the manager of the Corporative University of Power Electronics, leading the internal and external teaching programme. Between 2014 and 2017, he was the Technical Director of PS Renewables (UK), managing the maintenance of more than 350MW and 35 photovoltaic facilities and the technical director of assembling solar energy plants in the United Kingdom. Between 2009 and 2014, he was responsible of the solar energy division of the technical service of Power Electronics, managing more than 1GW, which included the global coordination in more than 20 countries and the monitoring of the facilities.
