MOTIVEM is an initiative by the UV and its University–Business Foundation ADEIT, channelled via the Chair for Business Culture, which aims to encourage an entrepreneurial attitude among the UV students through the teaching staff’s motivating action in the classroom environment.
During October and November there will be informative sessions targeted to the teaching staff in different centres.
Teachers and students, a creative tandem
To achieve this, MOTIVEM counts on the teaching staff’s action when it comes to invigorate teams formed by students, who develop their ideas and present them in a standardised format. The teaching staff participates in a school accredited by the Lifelong Learning Service and Educational Innovation (SFPIE), which facilitates their subsequent motivating labour in the classroom. The students can use the ideas contest to express their creativity, work in teams, negotiate, develop their ideas and transmit them; developing this way competences as a previous practical exercise to the professional activity they will performance once they have finished their studies. They will obtain 2 participation credits. The school and the ideas contest offer complementary training activities in order to ease the teaching staff’s and students teams’ action.
The Vice-Principal for Academic Planning, Teaching Staff and Sustainability manages MOTIVEM, being chairperson of an Academic Council composed of teachers who have participated in the school and have coordinated teams. It represents the different campus of UV, which supports this initiative and whose secretary’s office correspond to University–Business Foundation ADEIT.
