The Department of commercial search and methodology of the Grupo Cooperativos Cajamar has carried out the greatest online data analysis competition of Spain at the Cajamar University Hack 2017.
On Thursday 6 April it was held the final of the Cajamar University Hack 2017, an online datathon based on real bank data of the Grupo Cajamar and oriented to the best training centres in Data Science. From the 130 initial teams, only 6 reached the final, one of which was a team of students from the ETSE-UV.
Corpus One, the classified team, participated in the IBM Card Analytics category. In this modality participants had to create the best application and/or visualization on the anonymised database of transactions with card in Valencia, with real data compiled by Grupo Cajamar during 2015-2016.
During the final round of the competition, the 6 classified groups had a maximum of 10 minutes to defend their projects in front of the National Jury. Finally, the team from the Universitat de València came third. Data_Dumplings, from the Charles III University of Madrid, and Visual Miners, from the University of Barcelona ended first and second, respectively. Congratulations to all the participants!
