The University of Valencia has been from 2006 to 2010 one of the Spanish Universities which has stood out for its scientific production. Thus is reflected in the ISI Rankings of Spanish Universities according to Fields and Scientific Disciplines, based on research production oninternational journals with high impact and visibility.

The School of Engineering of the UV (ETSE-UV) has carried out a substantial contribution to this scientific production. Thus, in the field of “Chemistry and Chemical Engineering”, in which the Department of Chemical Engineering research teams have contributed, the UV ranks second nationally, only behind the Universitat de Barcelona and above Universities like the UAM, the UCM and the UAB.

In the field of “Engineerings”, which includes aspects as electronic engineering, instrumentation, robotics, industrial engineering and nanotechnology, with contributions to the Department of Electronic Engineering and also the Departments of Computer Science and Chemical Engineering, the UV ranks fifth nationally, being first in the Valencian County (right above the UPV, which ranks sixth)

Finally, the discipline “Computer Science”, with the participation of the scientific production of the Department of Computer Science, the UV ranks sixth nationally, above other model Universities in this field like the UCM or the UPM.
