
Vicente Cerverón, professor of the Computer Science Department, has been reelected this Friday as director of the School of Engineering (ETSE) of the UV. The Faculty Board has supported Cerverón's candidacy with 28 votes for and no blank or abstain votes. The Governing Council is composed by Paula Marzal, Carlos Pérez, José Torres and José David Martín.
Vicente Cerverón graduated in Physics, and he did the speciality on Electricity, Electronics and IT, with an extra award; he was the first Doctor in IS Engineer in the UV. He has been the director of the School of Engineering since February 2009. He had previously taken on different posts of responsability, specially that of the Vice-Principal for Technologies of Information and Communication of the UV (April 2002-March 2006). In this post, he was responsible to promote, run and coordinate TIC activities in the UV, producing and implementing Research and Development plans and programmes related with the TIC to improve the processes of teaching-learning, for the support of the researching activity and for the modernization of the dministrative processes.
