On May 10 and 11, the III Conference of P.D. in Neurosciences (3142) in which the doctoral students explain the objectives and advances of the studies they are carrying out in their research training, with the assistance of the directors and tutors representative of important research groups in the area . It is a P.D. interfaculty with an eminently interdisciplinary approach, which has in these days a clear exponent of the diversity and complementarity of study techniques for the achievement of the specific objectives raised in these disciplines.

The Doctoral Program of Neurosciences (3142) resulted from the adaptation to the EHEA of the Doctoral Program in Neurosciences of the UV (Program with a Mention to Excellence, MEE2011-0485). This program was, in turn, the result of the fusion of two previous programs with a Quality Award, obtained in the first call and maintained until its final merger (MCD 2003-00158; MCD2003-00120): P.D. of Basic and Applied Neurosciences (interdepartmental) and P.D. Interuniversity of Neurosciences (Universities of Murcia and Valencia).

The PD in Neurosciences agglutinates, with groups of four powers of the UV (Biological Medicine, Pharmacy and Psychology), other centers and active and relevant groups in the field of Neurosciences: CSIC-IBV, IPPC, IISLAFE, INCLIVA and UJI . The vocation of the program has been and is the transversality so that in most teams there are members from different areas of knowledge allowing a multidisciplinary approach to their subject and particular line.
