Citizens from non-EU need to require a Visa or residence permit.
Please note that Maastricht University can only formally apply for your visa/residence permit if you have meta ll admission and enrollment requirements.
General Requirements of Admission.
The admission requirements depend on your previous education. Admission is limited to those with at least a university bachelor's degree in Psychology or a university bachelor’s degree from an equivalent program that meets similar achievement levels as determined by the Joint Board of Admissions. The bachelor’s program should include at least 70 European Credits in psychology subjects and at least 30 European Credits in research methods and statistics. Note that the bachelor’s degree must have been obtained before 1 September 2026.
Additional Requirements: English-language requirements
As English is the language of instruction in this study program, it is essential that your English language skills are good enough for you to undertake intensive and challenging academic courses that are taught and examined in English.
Applicants for this study program who received their previous education in a non-EU/EEA country will have to pay a handling fee. Otherwise, candidates should certify English-language skills through certificates as IELTS (minimum score 6,5), TOEFL iBT (minimum score 90), TOEFL Paper-delivered test, TOEIC o Cambridge Advanced C1).

- A copy of your valid Passport or EU/EEA identity card
- A copy of your bachelor’s diploma and a copy of your grades’ transcript
- A curriculum vitae
- A motivation letter
- Accreditation of your English-language skills.
Tuition fees
Tuition fees for the IJMRWOP program rely on the personal situation of each candidate. For the academic year of 2025-2026 the statutory tuition fee is 2.601€ (for students from UE countries) and the institutional tuition fee is 21.400€ (for students from non-UE countries). These fees could vary from year to year. Tuition is paid to the Maastricht University for each of the two academic years of duration in this program. Part-Time fees are not available for this program.
