Laura Salguero

León, 1987. She has a degree in Artistic Jewellery from the Escola d'Art i Superior de Disseny of Valencia (EASD) and a degree in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València, a university where she also studied a postgraduate course in Art, Production and Research and where she is currently doing her doctorate on wax as a definitive material. Her artistic practice is based on the questioning of the monopoly of rationalism as the only method of knowledge.

Salguero is part of the selection of artists of the gallery La Gran and has been selected by the programme Resistències Artístiques (Artistic processes in educational environments) of the Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana (Valencian Community) and awarded in the Residències Artístiques i Culturals of the Ayuntamiento de València (València City Hall). She has also participated in numerous exhibitions in museums and cultural centres such as the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC), La Madraza, The Benaki Museum, the Cervantes Institute in Munich, and her work forms part of collections such as that of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León (MUSAC).
