Pepe Reyes

Percepciones periféricas (Spanish for Peripheral perceptions) proposes a practical and collaborative reflection on the experiences of people who identify themselves as queer or LGBTI+ that are part of the university scientific context. The frontier of the Burjassot campus that separates the academy from the city also represents the space for contemporary debate on the disembodiment of academic feminist theories in the face of diverse everyday experiences.

Pepe Reyes Caballero

Cadiz, 1996. His work reflects on issues of gender and social relations in physical and virtual space from a trans-feminist point of view. In line with the principle of "the personal is political", he questions the problems understood as intimate, which are also collective and therefore social. He is currently studying a Master's Degree in Visual Arts and Multimedia at the Universitat Politècnica de València and has presented his work in group exhibitions such as Transpositional discourse of identity and space at the SANU gallery, Novi Sad, in 2019, curated by Suncica Pasuljevic Kandic and Ensayar at the La Posta Foundation, curated by María José Martínez de Pisón and Miguel Ángel Baixauli.
