About the Chair

About the Chair
The Chair for Gender and Health was founded in accordance with the Regional Health Law, which indicates that health inequalities must be overcome,as well as the 5th Regional Health Plan states and will address differences in diagnoses in primary and specialised care. It will aslo examine the gender gap in research and question how these biases occur, how team composition affects them and, ultimately, where the root of the problem lies.

We organise conferences and activities to empower women in the field of health sciences research that address gender biases, raise awareness about them, and train healthcare personnel to incorporate gender perspective into their daily practices.
