Professional profile of the recipients
The course is aimed at lecturers and research staff at the Universitat de València who are interested in improving their academic English skills. The teacher/researcher who wishes to participate in the course should have, approximately, a C1 level.

Training objectives

The main objective of this course is to help lecturers improve their English, especially their:

- oral and written comprehension skills in the academic context

- oral and written production skills in the academic context

Competencies to be developed

Participants will develop the following skills:

- the ability to understand lectures and other spoken academic genres in English.

- the capacity to speak effectively in English in an academic setting.

- the capacity to write effectively in English in an academic setting.

- the ability to negotiate the formal and informal register of the English language.

Criteria and procedure for evaluation of the activity

Attendance and completion of tasks in the classroom and online.
