DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Department of Marketing and Market Research was established by agreement of the Consell de Govern of the Universitat de Valéncia in its session on October 28, 2003. Around sixty professors carry out their teaching and research work in the department, of whom more than 45 have full-time positions (including over 20 full professors), and more than 10 are external associate professors and recognized experts in their professional fields. A variable number of research fellows and visiting professors also participate in teaching activities.
Teaching Unit of Marketing and Research Staff of the Department
The undergraduate teaching activity of the department is mainly conducted at the Facultat d’Economia. At the postgraduate level, the department is responsible for the Master’s Degree in Marketing and Market Research and the International Master in Business Administration (iMBA). It also offers and coordinates the Doctoral Program in Marketing, which holds a quality mention from ANECA.

Doctoral Programs Directed by the Department
It has to be noted that the Master’s Degree in Marketing and Market Research is one of the most in-demand programs at the Universitat de Valéncia. In turn, the International Master’s in Business Administration (iMBA), which is taught entirely in English, is one of the two international master’s degrees offered by the Universitat de Valéncia.
The department’s research activity is intense, positioning it as one of the most renowned Marketing departments among Spanish universities. It has about ten consolidated research teams working across all areas of marketing, publishing around 70 research articles annually in leading specialized journals (more than 95% of them in well-recognized international journals).

The department also publishes around 50 book chapters, including monographic scientific works, each academic year.
Over recent years, the department’s teaching and research staff have presented an average of more than 110 papers at highly prestigious international conferences.
