Department information

The Department of Marketing was created by agreement of the Consell de Govern of the University of Valencia in its session of October 28, 2003. The department has 50 professors of which 29 are full-time and 21 are part-time. The staff also includes 3 researchers with teaching capacity.

The department's teaching activity is mainly associated to the Faculty of Economics, and undertaken both in degrees: Business Administration and Management (GADE), International Business (GIB), Tourism (GTUR), Business Intelligence Analytics (BIA) Finance and Accounting (GFIC); and double degrees: Business Administration and Law (ADE Derecho) and Busines Administration and Tourism (TADE). Besides, some teaching is done in the degree of Gastronomic Sciences

The Department is responsible for the Master's Degree in Marketing and Market Research and participates in the teaching of the following Master's degrees: MU in Quality Management, MU in Data Sciences, MU in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, MU in Tourism Management and Planning, MU in Social Economy, Interuniversity Master in Cultural Management, MU in Economic Internationalization, MU in Business Management, Interuniversity Master in International Business Administration, MU in Research and Development in Biotechnology and Biomedicine., MU in Secondary Teaching, MU in Personalized and Community Nutrition.

The research activity of the Department is intense and positions us as one of the most recognized Marketing departments of the Spanish Universities. In 2018 more than 60 academic articles have been published, 85% of them in international journals.
