On April 30, 2015, Professor Pilar Campins Falcó (Full University Professor in the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Vice-Principal for Research and Science Policy at the Universitat de València), gave the lecture "Chemical Analysis of Drugs".

Dr Campins presented an overview of the measures adopted to control drug use. These techniques are useful for determining the presence or absence of drugs in various samples such as hair skin or clothing. She also provided details on the various tests carried out to know the amount of active substance and adulterants containing the drug. Analysis of adulterants allows to know the origin of the drug and route of distribution.
