Conferences ‘Addiction and Women’: forgotten and invisible. 30 November, 2017

On the last 30 November, 2017 it was held the conference organised by the Master with the collaboration of the Equality Unit by the Universitat de València. Under the title ‘Addiction and Women’: forgotten and invisible, it was addressed the actual issue about the alcohol consumption and other drugs consumed by men and women. The difference between both is captured once more time in the harmful effects of the consumption that is more dramatic in women. Along with this, the trend observed in the prevalence of consumption was highlighted, where the number of adolescent women is increasing, already exceeding the number of boys. In addition, it was highlighted the tendency to the change in drugs consumption, being similar the consumption of alcohol or tobacco between both sexes.
