
The Master’s Degree in Research, Treatment and Associated Pathologies in Drug Addictions (DITPA) in collaboration with the scientific society Socidrogalcohol of the UV organised on 17 November 2022 the Conference ‘Cannabis: A Look at the Evidence”.
The Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Psychology of the UV hosted the regional conference Socidrogalcohol Valencian Community ‘Cannabis: A Look at the Evidence’. The event could be followed in person and via streaming.
The meeting began with the opening ceremony at 4:30 p.m. This was followed by Nieves Galipienso Calatayud (Head of the Pharmacy Department. Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Service) and Clara Pérez Alfonso (Head of the Pharmaceutical Inspection and Drug Control Section. General State Administration) introduced the theme of the conference and explained “What do people smoke in Valencia?”.
The director of the DITPA Master’s Degree of the Universitat de València, José Miñarro, gave the conference “The evidence of cannabinoids”.
Manuel Isorna, professor at the University of Vigo and specialist in prevention, shared with the audience his view on the ‘International experiences of cannabis regulation’.
Benjamín Climent, specialist in internal medicine and toxicology, gave a talk entitled “Cannabis and Health”.
The conference ended at 8 p.m. after an open debate between the speakers and the audience.
