The continuous advance of science instruments makes possible the continuous development of a great number of experimental techniques, which application allows to provide very detailed information of the compostion of substances, of the intrinsic characteristics of chemical compounds and their reactions, as well as contributing to development and characterisation of new materials. These advances in experimental techniques allow us to face the new demands of the current Spanish society, in the diverse areas where quemical analysis and/or compound characterisation is required and that cover fields so diverse such as: quality and security control of products produced in all kinds of industries (ceramics, paint, plastics, toys, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, food, etc.), agro-food analysis, environmental analysis, clinical analysis, etc. Precisely, these made up the main sectors where the industrial and company fabric of the Valencian Community is based on.
