Seminar on intonation by Professor Kata Pálvölgyi ELTE (Eötvös Loránd University) from Budapest

On July 5th, Professor Kata Pálvölgyi, from the ELTE University (Eötvös Loránd University) in Budapest, will give a seminar especially for students of the P.h.D Program in Advanced Hispanic Studies and the Master’s Degree in Advanced Hispanic Studies, within the framework of the Erasmus+

Exchange Program. The session will last approximately 2 hours, divided into two parts:

  • 10’00-10’45: Descriure l'entonació: el mètode AMH (Análisis Melódico del Habla)
  • 10’45-11’00: Preguntes i intercanvi d'idees
  • 11’00-11’45: L'entonació de les interllengües: el cas de l'hongarés-espanyol
  • 11’45-12’00: Preguntes i intercanvi d'idees

The session will take place in room S05 (semi-basement of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication). 

Kata Baditzné Pálvölgyi graduated in Spanish and English Philology in 2003. Since 2004 he has worked in the Department of Hispanic Philology, Faculty of Arts of the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest. She is currently responsible for the teacher training module in the school. Her research topic is intonation; in 2012 he defended his doctoral thesis on the Spanish intonation of Hungarian students and currently participates in projects in the field of intonation with a group of researchers from the University of Barcelona.
