Master’s news: Web and social networks redesign

The new web design is more intuitive and visual and it is also linked to the new master’s social networks

27 april 2016

From the Master’s degree in History of the Formation of the Western World we have been working for months to redesign the web and create a much more intuitive design that helps the student to visualise the offered options easier.

At the top of the page we find a series of images changing automatically to show the most important and defining aspects of the Master’s degree in History of the Formation of the Western World of the UV.

  • Direct access to Doctoral studies: The obtaining of the Master’s degree title gives access to the Doctoral Studies Programme of History of the Universitat de València
  • The history of power, economy and society in the 13th and 15th centuries: The Iberian Kingdoms, the Crown of Aragon and the Valencian Country in the late Middle Ages
  • Historiographical update with the last research results: Presentation of new proposals, methods and techniques
  • Historiography and Modern History of Europe: Women and gender in history and historiography
  • Greece and Rome history through their cities: The impact of the Romanization on Europe and Hispania

The new web design maintains the prioritization of the most important information in six circles, on the homepage, where the student can find the master’s price, the number of credits, places, whether it is on-site or not, the official calendar and the location.

The news section only has a new design, it continues being the agenda of the Faculty, where the student can find all the events related with the master’s degree. The most cutting edge part is the blog, where a team of editors publish the master’s degree characteristics and the importance of history in every day's life, through new researches or remembering the most important ones. The blog is also a place to explain concepts of the master’s degree, such as the methodology or the branches of knowledges; it also means a space for students and alumni to publish their researches.

Finally, at the bottom of the page we find six new circles, addressed to new students who decided to study at the Universitat de València and want to know the basic aspects before moving such as accommodation, transport, cost of living, health protection, leisure and sports offered by the Universitat de València.

In addition to all these changes and news, we use social networks to spread them: we share the master’s degree contents via Facebook and Twitter as well as other news related to physiology and the world of the University of Valencia. If you are interested in these areas, do not forget to follow us and share it with your classmates!
