Taking a deep look into History, and its several specialties, its current considerable social predicament arise. Theses territories (which should be added to Sicily, Naples, Sardinia and Roussillon) are of obvious interest in the development of researches in medieval history in the Crown of Aragon and its current political, social and cultural institutions which are thoroughly integrated in the European culture from a historical perspective of training throughout the continent, which is manifested through the financing of scientific activities (congress, meetings, commemorations), publications, archaeological diggings, heritage restoration and many others in terms of cultural actions. These considerations may also be applied to Modern History, a period which, after fixing its roots in the Medieval Ages, opens up to the Contemporary World to offer all the explicative keys which give an answer to the questions risen by the current world.

This greco-latin heritage from Ancient times interpreted in the High Medieval Ages Germanic Reigns, made it possible for the historical fundaments of the Western European World to be constructed, with national monarchies and their international projection on a precise geography, delimited by the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Northern Sea, the Baltic and the ends of the western continent.
