At the Universitat de València (UV), the Master’s Degree in History and Identities in the Western Mediterranean is taught in the facilities of the Faculty of Geography and History, located on the Blasco Ibáñez Campus at Avenida Blasco Ibáñez, 28. All Faculty facilities, like those across the various UV campuses, provide students with Wi-Fi internet access.

Although classes may be held in any classroom in the facilities of the Department of Early Modern and Contemporary History (4th, 5th and 6th floors of the Faculty), teaching mainly takes place in Room I of the Department (4th floor), which seats 20 students with tables in place (40 without tables). It is equipped for projecting images, videos and documents, with computers, a conventional whiteboard and an electronic whiteboard, as well as a projector. The classroom has sufficient power outlets and flexible furniture that can be adapted to the number of students and, in particular, to changing public-health circumstances.

On the first floor, the Emilia Salvador Early Modern History Laboratory is available, where teaching staff regularly run practical workshops, particularly on the use of the printing press in the early modern period.

Other emblematic spaces in the Faculty, such as the Joan Fuster Auditorium, the Manuel Ardit Graduation Hall and the recently renovated and re-equipped Palmireno Lecture Hall, host Master’s activities, including the inaugural lecture.

Outside teaching hours, the Department’s rooms may be used by students for individual study or group work. On the Faculty’s fourth floor, next to Room I, are the staff offices, where students can attend office hours and receive guidance. There is also a room equipped for administrative tasks and available for Master’s activities, with a printer, photocopier/scanner, two computer workstations and microfilm readers for viewing archival documents.
Students on the Master’s degree also have access to the Faculty’s six computer rooms. In addition to these facilities, some Master’s activities take place in libraries and archives on the Blasco Ibáñez Campus and at other UV campuses. These include the  Joan Reglà Humanities Library, one of the UV’s main libraries, with an extensive collection of history textbooks and monographs. The library also has a periodicals section that receives leading journals in the Humanities.

Students may also use the other UV libraries, particularly the Gregori Mayans Socials Sciences Library and the Historical Library. Finally, the UV Historical Archive, located next to the Faculty, also hosts Master’s training activities and preserves important and valuable historical documents relating to the early modern period.
