Telecommunications have become one of the most important areas for international economy. Deregulation and free competition system implementation among private equity firms has been the growing trend throughout the last decades, particularly in America and Europe.
At the end of this Project’s analysis some measures are suggested to contribute to free competition inclusion in Ecuador’s telecommunications sector
From this premises, his research takes sample of several countries like the United States, Spain and other South American states, and uses it as a reference and also compares their telecommunications management models with the one used in Ecuador. This research analysis is carried out by selecting existing cases caused by legal regulation of Ecuador in telecommunications and free competition. Additionally, it reviews the treatment that the comparative law and the international doctrine provide for each and every situation individually accounted.
The author suggests as a conclusion that Ecuador’s regulation in telecommunications is contradictory to the principles of free competition and furthermore suggests a theory about the cause of this state of play. At the end of this Project some measures are suggested to contribute to free competition inclusion in Ecuador’s telecommunications sector.
