Professor Carlos Esplugues, Professor of Private International Law and Director of the MUDEJ, participated as Delegate of the Kingdom of Spain at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in the 83rd session of Working Group II of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). During the meeting, held from 16 to 20 February 2026, the work on the recognition and enforcement of electronic arbitral awards, which has been underway for the past year and a half, was concluded. Final approval is expected to take place at the Commission’s meeting to be held in July, also in New York.
