Dr. Vicent Gozálvez is a teacher at the Department of Theory of Education, Universitat de València. He is Master in Psychoethics for civic-moral education. He has worked for 17 years as a civil servant in Secondary Education, specialized in Philosophy. Subject of his doctoral thesis: Relations between logical-cognitive development and moral development. He is currently teacher with specialised in Philosophy of Education and Intercultural Pedagogy. His areas of research are Media education, Citizenship education, Education and values, Interculturality, Education and human development, Philosophy of education, Digital critical thinking.

Co-Director of the UNESCO Chair "Global Education in the Mediterranean: Studies for Peace, Interculturality and Sustainability.

Biography
 

Licentiate Award (1997) and Doctorate (2002), at present, and since 2008, is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences of the University of Valéncia, attached to the Department of Comparative Education and History of Education, from which he teaches subjects such as Comparative Education, Development Cooperation and Education, International Education and Intervention and Educational Mediation. He has 5 years-periods of teaching. Her teaching also extends to participation in various national and international masters and postgraduate programs: she has been co-director and teacher of the intercultural mediation module in the Diploma of Mediation in Socioeducational Intervention at the University of Valencia (10 editions). He teaches in the International Master of Migration (Erasmus Mundus), the Interuniversity Master of Development Cooperation (MCAD) and the Master of Social Action (MASE), all of them from the Universitat de Valéncia. She has been and is also invited to other masters, from the Autonomous University of Madrid, the University of Barcelona and the University of Malaga, with topics related to her research. In 2016-2017 he made a MOOC on "Intercultural and Family Mediation", of 18 hours, for the University of Valencia.
She is President of the Spanish Society of Comparative Education since 2025, after being Vice-President from 2021 to 2025 and a member of its Board of Directors from 2008 to 2010. She is also a member of the Ibero-American Society of Comparative Education (SIBEC) since 2019, of REEDES (Spanish Network of Development Studies) since 2012 (from which she works in the Education for Development Group), of the University ApS Association AsocApS(U) since 2018 and of the Spanish Network of University Teaching (RED-U) from 2015-2018, representing the UV. She has been a member of the Plenary Council of the Patronat Sud Nord of the University of Valencia, from 2012 until its dissolution in 2016.
She has been Vice-Dean of Innovation and Educational Quality at the Faculty of Philosophy and Educational Sciences of the UV, from 2009 to 2011, and  Academic Secretary of the Faculty in 2023-2024. From 2015 to 2018 she has been the director of the Centre de Formació Manuel Sanchis Guarner at the University of Valencia, from where she has been responsible for university teacher training policies, quality and educational innovation at the UV.
During his research career he has participated in numerous R & D, published more than 50 articles in both national and international journals, and more than 85 documents including books and book chapters, some of them in high impact publishers. She has 4 sexenios of research. He has co-directed 11 doctoral theses.

She has attended and actively participated in national and international conferences and has given some thirty lectures (in Spain, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Poland, etc.). In recent years, his main lines of research and study have focused on the different areas of analysis related to Comparative and International Education:
- Epistemology and methodology of the disciplines of Comparative Education and International Education;

- Analysis of the educational policies of the main international organisations and their links with the MDGs (currently SDGs) (collaborating on projects for various NGDOs and, currently, with the Department of Transparency, Social Responsibility, Participation and Cooperation of the Valencian Community for the development of the strategic lines of Education for Development linked to the aforementioned Goals);

- Themes linked to Development Cooperation and its connection with Education, both from the point of view of policies and from the vision of Education for Global Citizenship (EPCG); and

- Methodologies related to university teaching (since the implementation of the convergence and innovation pilot projects in Spanish universities): innovation and impact on the quality and application of cooperative methodologies: Service Learning (SL), especially critical or advocacy.

In terms of innovation, she has participated in competitive educational innovation projects, of which he has directed 6, related to practicum competencies, university teaching methodologies, SAME (Global Action Week for Education, introducing it at the UV) or Service Learning (ApS). Within the latter, he created GIASU (University Service-Learning Innovation Group) in 2010. In 2015 she institutionalised Service Learning as director of the Servei de Formació de Profesorat Universitari (SFPIE) through the cApSa project. In this line, she has also been co-director of the Consolidated Stable Group of Educational Innovation (GER) UVApS (Universidats Valencians per l'ApS), since 2016, from which she worked, from the network, with 49 professors of all the degrees of the UV in the field of ApS. until 2018. She is currently leading the consolidated group "SapS ODS?", funded by the UV teaching innovation projects (from 2019 to the present).

 Professor at the Department of Didactics and School Organization.
PhD with Cum Laude and International Mentions from the Universitat de València. Her doctoral research was funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of the Government of Spain (Reference: FPU16/04009) and received the First Prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis in Educational Technology awarded by the RUTE (Red Universitaria de Tecnología Educativa) research association.
She holds a Degree in Primary Education Teaching, a Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy, a Master's Degree in Policy, Management and Direction of Educational Organizations and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education Teaching (specializing in Educational Guidance) from the University of Valencia.
She has worked as a Primary Education teacher and as a researcher and European Project Manager at the Instituto Tecnológico del Producto Infantil y de Ocio (AIJU), working on various international R&D&I projects.
Her lines of research address school organization, teacher professional development and educational technology.
He is a member of the research group CRIE Curriculum, Resources and Educational Institutions (GIUV2013-105) of the University of Valencia, the University Network of Educational Technology (RUTE) and the Spanish Network of Excellence on R+D+i and Science for Video Games (RIDIVI).

Dr. Santiago Mengual Andrés is an Associate Professor in the Department of Comparative Education and History of Education at the University of Valencia. With a solid track record in university management, he has held key positions such as Head of Department and Vice-Dean of Research, Quality, and Innovation. He holds a degree in Psychopedagogy and a PhD in Educational Research from the University of Alicante, and possesses extensive teaching experience in national and international postgraduate programs since 2003.

His research focuses on the integration of ICT in education, with over 100 scientific publications and participation in more than 25 R&D&I projects funded by public grants. In the editorial field, he stands out as the Editor in Chief  of the Journal of New Approaches in Educational Research (published by Springer Nature), an international benchmark in its field due to its high impact factor. Furthermore, he is a regular reviewer for prestigious scientific journals and has served as Academic Secretary of AIDIPE in the Valencian Community.

Associate Professor (Tenured) in the Department of Comparative Education and History of Education at the University of Valencia. She holds a PhD in Education (2020) from the University of Valencia. Between 2015 and 2019, she was a Predoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Comparative Education and History of Education at the University of Valencia, funded through the prestigious FPU Programme of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Science and Sport. She is Secretary of the Ágora Comparative and International Education Research Group (GRECIA) at the University of Valencia and a member of the Innovation, Methodology and ICT Research Group (INMETIC) at the Catholic University of Valencia. She is a researcher in the Ministry of Science and Innovation funded project PID2022-13645OA-I00 Sociotechnical Imaginaries in Education: Digital Governance Policy Networks and Digital Sovereignty (SocioTechED). She is also the Principal Investigator of the Generalitat Valenciana-funded research project CIGE/2026/188 Media and Information Literacy in Higher Education: Diagnosing Digital Biases and Developing a Pedagogical Proposal to Address Disinformation and Hate Speech. She coordinates the AUECPE Educational Innovation Project at the University of Valencia, focused on implementing digital resources and methodologies to promote blended learning and flipped teaching in higher education. She serves on the Editorial Review Committee of the Ibero-American Journal of Teachers and regularly acts as reviewer for international scientific journals, international seminars and national conferences. She has served as Fourth-Year Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy. She was a Visiting Research Scholar at the Institute of Education, University College London, during the 2016/2017 academic year and completed a postdoctoral research stay funded by the Generalitat Valenciana at the University of Gävle (Sweden) during the 2022/2023 academic year, where she researched far-right educational policies in Europe. Her main research interests include the privatisation of education in both developed and developing countries, the impact of COVID-19 on the right to education from a comparative and international perspective, sociotechnical imaginaries in education, digital governance and digital sovereignty, media and information literacy in higher education, disinformation and hate speech, and the analysis of far-right educational policies across Europe.

PhD in Education, Master in Psychopedagogy and Graduate in Pedagogy from the University of Valencia. Graduate in Teaching from the University of Alcalá. He has been an educator and trainer in all stages of the Spanish educational system, as well as has taught at different universities on educational measurement, program evaluation and research methodologies. He has carried out stays at universities and educational centers in Argentina, Mexico and USA. Member of the GEM-Educo Evaluation and Measurement Group, the InnovaMIDE Teaching Innovation Group and of the RIIED Ibero-American Research Network on the Evaluation of Teaching. He is currently a professor-researcher at the MIDE Department of Research Methods and Diagnosis in Education at the University of Valencia and focuses on the design and validation of evaluation instruments, the social value of education and cultural validity in measurement.
