PhD in Pedagogy (2006). Professor of Theory and History of Education at the University of Valencia. Lecturer in the Doctorate in Pedagogical Sciences at the University of Bologna. Co-editor of the journal “Espacio, Tiempo y Educación” (Scopus), member of the Editorial Board of the journal “Educació i Història”; as well as of the Scientific Committee of “Foro de Educación” (Scopus), “História da Educaçao” (Scopus), “Debates para la Historia” (Mexico) and “Tendencias Pedagógicas” (UAM). Member of the Board of Directors (20017-2025) of the Spanish Society of History of Education (SEDHE). He has been academic secretary (2012-2015) and director of the Department of Comparative Education and History of Education (2015-2019), and since 2019 he has been director of the Master of Psychopedagogy at the University of Valencia. He has carried out research stays at universities in Spain, Belgium, Italy, Peru, Mexico and Ecuador. He has two six-year research periods and one six-year transfer period (CNEAI-ANECA) recognized. Evaluator of the Technical Committee of Education Sciences at the State Research Agency of the Government of Spain and member of the Jury as a member responsible for the area of Social and Legal Sciences of the Young Researchers Competition (INJUVE and Ministry of Youth and Childhood (2019-2024). His lines of research focus on the history of contemporary education and educational policy, as well as teaching innovation and, fundamentally, the study of play as an element of pedagogical renewal. Member of the Research Group of Excellence “Grup d’Estudis Històrics sobre les Transicions i la Democràcia”.
