Descripció del màster

The Master’s Degree in Psychopedagogy at the University of Valencia is presented as an advanced training programme designed to address the increasing complexity of educational systems and the growing social demands related to inclusion, equity and attention to diversity. Psychopedagogy is a bridging discipline that integrates knowledge from psychology and pedagogy to holistically address learning difficulties, enhance individual abilities, and optimise the environments in which knowledge is generated.

Purpose and Aims of the Master’s

The main purpose of the programme is to equip professionals with advanced tools for:

Psychopedagogical Assessment and Intervention: Training experts in the early detection and diagnosis of special educational needs (SEN), learning difficulties (dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, etc.) and developmental disorders. The master’s degree prepares students to design and implement effective, personalised intervention plans.

Educational and Career Guidance: Preparing future psychopedagogues to guide students, families and educational institutions in academic and career decision-making, fostering the development of autonomous and meaningful life projects.

Attention to Diversity and Inclusion: Promoting an inclusive approach to education, ensuring that all individuals—regardless of their abilities, origin or social situation—have access to a high-quality and equitable education. This requires designing strategies to adapt curricula and methodologies to different contexts.

Teacher Support and Training: Psychopedagogues play a key advisory role within schools, collaborating with teaching staff in the implementation of innovative pedagogical practices, conflict resolution and continuous improvement of educational quality.

Research and Professional Development: Encouraging a critical and research-oriented attitude that enables graduates to analyse educational realities, generate new knowledge, and adapt their professional practice to scientific evidence as well as to social and technological changes.
