The Remote Sensing and GIS Laboratory (LAST) of the Estación Biológica de Doñana (CSIC) seeks to incorporate a researcher with experience in remote sensing for a 24-month postdoctoral contract associated with the SUMHAL project (Sustainability for Mediterranean Hotspots in Andalusia integrating LifeWatch ERIC).

The candidate will be in charge of implementing energy balance models (especially focused on obtaining evapotranspiration), soil moisture at different temporal and spatial scales using remote sensing images (in the thermal and optical range). As input data of the models, data from satellite, airborne and drone sensors will be used. The models will be evaluated with energy-flow stations already installed in the field. The candidate should integrate results in international repositories with standard metadata and facilitate their analysis in virtual laboratories. The candidate must make scientific publications and present their results in international forums.
