Francesc de Paula Burguera was born in 1928.

He is author of the poetry collection Ara sóc ací (1949) and the dramatic work L'home de l'aigua (1958). He was leader of the "Partido Demócrata Liberal del País Valenciano" and in the legislative elections of 1977 he was elected representative of the UCD, group that he straightaway abandoned in order to join the joint group. He created the "Partido Nacionalista del País Valenciano", of which he was secretary general until 1982. He then begins his work as journalist writing in several newspapers and news agencies. In 1983 he was coordinator and press officer of the parliamentary groups of CiU in the Senate and the Congress of Deputies, until 1999.

In the following years he has been awarded important prizes and civil and cultural recognitions, such as the Medal of the University of Valencia, the Saint George Cross of the "Generalitat de Catalunya"; "Valenciano del año 2000" by the Huguet Foundation of Castellon and also awarded by the Societat el Micalet of Valencia, the Gold Medal of the town hall of Sueca, of Jijona... among other awards given by bodies and cultural and citizen associations. Presently, he is president of "Valencians pel Canvi".
