Biographical outline:

Agustín Escardino Benlloch, (Valencia, Spain, April 5, 1934). Spanish scientist and researcher. PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Valencia. From 1979 to 1984 he was Vice Chancellor of the University and Professor of Chemical Engineering from 1965 to 1991.

His main research work has focused on chemical engineering and technology, food technology and especially in the field of ceramic technology.

He has presented more than a hundred papers and communications in congresses and seminars, and published more than a hundred articles in specialized journals. Member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers-AIChE and of the American Ceramic Society (United States), of the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass and of the Royal Spanish Society of Industrial Chemistry.

He has received numerous awards and prizes throughout his career, the Juan de la Cierva National Research Award granted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Jaime I Award for Research and New Technologies granted by the Valencian Government in 2008.
