Francisco Bosch Reig (Valencia, 1933) graduated in Sciences by the University of Valencia, where he completed his doctoral studies in Chemistry in 1967. After holding the chair between 1977 and 2003, he was named emeritus professor. Currently he collaborates in researches that are developed in the Department of Analytical Chemistry.

Throughout his academic career he held different positions such as pre-tenured professor, tenure-track 2 professor and Full University Professor. He taught in the Central Laboratory of Customs of Madrid and in the universities of Giessen (Germany) and of the Balearic Islands.

In the field of management and university policy he held the management of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, he was the first Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences (1978-1984) and Vice-Principal for Teaching Staff and Academic Planning (1984-1986), and moreover he was president of the Court of Grievances (200-2005).

He directed more than 20 doctoral theses. His important scientific work in the different aspects of chemical analysis and his techniques and applications are reflected in a wide range of research projects and more of 190 scientific publications and several hundred of communications in conferences.
