
Mª Vicenta Mestre, Principal of the Universitat de València, met this morning with Guillermo Cruz, Secretary of Extension and Collaboration of the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza (Argentina).
Both representatives agreed on strengthen links between both academic institutions to promote internationalisation and sharing of knowledge, enhancing connexions between València and South-America.
Mª Vicenta Mestre stated that “the University is firmly committed to internationalisation by some international double degrees that may validate the titles in both countries.” “As agreed in the Conference of Principals of Spanish Universities (CRUE), we seek to promote relationships with other countries, particularly with Argentina and Chile” pointed Mestre.
On his behalf, Secretary Guillermo Cruz appreciated the meeting and the possibilities that may be open after a framework agreement for relations between the two universities in terms of internationalisation, employment and studies.
After the meeting, the Secretaty of Extension and Collaboration of the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo went to the La Nau building, where he greeted Antonio Ariño, vice-principal for Culture and Sport and the previous University’s principal, Esteban Morcillo. Besides, he went on a guided visit through the emblematic building, the original headquarters of the Universitat de València since founded in 1499.
The day concluded with a meeting between Guillermo Cruz, Adela Valero, vice-principal for Employment and Training Programmes, and Marisa Quintilla, director of the UVjob with the intention of strengthen and join synergies in terms of employment within graduates.
