This fourth edition of the exhibitions on natural areas in Valencia (Albufera, Turia and Sierra Calderona), promoted by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, addresses in this case one of the most significant territories in the interior of Valencia. An attractive space of increasing relevance frequented by visitors who come from coastal areas to enjoy its nature, history, heritage, gastronomy, etc.
The exhibition is composed of 24 panels produced by more than thirty professors and researchers from most of the different disciplines of the University, as well as from the main research centers, whose studies are related to this privileged natural space.
This exhibition, a pioneer in the history of the Caroig massif and its surroundings due to its general and multidisciplinary nature, meticulously covers the components that define this region: geographical context of the natural space, Iberian, Roman and Medieval archeology, the Moors and the Muela de Cortes, environmental economics, hiking and cave paintings, the Caroig and its festivals, meandering canyons, medicinal and useful plants, vegetation, fishes, amphibians and reptiles, paleontology, toponymy, etc.
