Linguist and professor of the UV, he has stood out for his active defence of the social use of Valencian and the values of multilingualism. The UV pays a simple tribute to him dedicating these awards to his memory.

The Language Policy Service announces these awards for promoting linguistic quality in the academic papers of students, for encouraging the academic use of Valencian and for motivating the use of English as a tool for the internationalisation of the University.
