The follow-up of the official degrees has the following purposes:
- To guarantee the quality of the training programme in accordance with the established levels of qualification and the criteria set out in the current legislation.
- To ensure that the quality of the results obtained in the development of official university courses corresponds to the commitments made and verified by the relevant assessment body.
- To verify that the development of the programme is carried out in accordance with the latest verified report, with the appropriate resources, and supported by an internal quality assurance system that allows effective reflection and improvement of the programme.
- To verify that the programme has had an appropriate follow-up process and that the available quantitative and qualitative information has been used to analyse its development and to make the necessary proposals for improvement.
- To confirm the availability and accessibility of public, valid, trustworthy, necessary and relevant information for decision-making by students and other interested parties in the national and international university system is easily accessible.
- To monitor the incorporation of changes in the universities that have implemented the report following the review of the programme.
- To monitor the implementation of the recommendations contained in the reports on the verification, modification, approval or renewal of the accreditation of the programme.
- To provide recommendations and/or suggestions for the improvement of the training programme.
