The Department of Prehistory, Archaeology and Ancient History of the University of Valencia (UV) has organised, in collaboration with the Department of Spanish of the British College La Cañada (BCLC), a day of interactive Prehistory and Archaeology workshops to bring you first-hand primary school students the secrets of archaeological sciences and the way of life of human ancestors.

The event took place on Friday, March 22 at the BCLC facilities. Students have been able to make their own cardial ceramics, immerse themselves in water tanks in search of archaeological remains, assemble human skeletons, and learn about the prehistoric past by playing in the archaeobotany, archaeofauna, industry, and rock art workshops.

The director Rosario Palau (BCLC), the head of Primary Sarah Nowell (BCLC) and the coordinator of the day, Domingo C. Salazar (UV), have described the day as a success and are committed to continuing to collaborate again between the two centres in the organisation of this type of educational and informative events in the near future. On behalf of the UV, Vanessa Albelda, Carmen Chulvi, Manuela de Cruz, Vanessa Extrem, Manel Górriz, Damián Guillem and Lorena López have also participated in the workshops.
