Biography
 

Full Professor in the Department of Didactics of Physical, Artistic and Music Education at the Faculty of Teaching Training of the University of Valencia. Graduate in Geography and History (specialising in Musicology) and a Diploma in Teaching (specialising in Music Education) from the University of Oviedo. Professional degree in Music (Piano) and International Master's Degree in Music in the same speciality from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Oviedo "Eduardo Martínez Torner". PhD in Pedagogy from the University of Valencia with a thesis that analysed and catalogued the music of the Moors and Christians of Alcoy, as well as a didactic application in the secondary school classroom, for which she was awarded a grant by the Instituto Alicantino de Cultura "Juan Gil-Albert" (Alicante Provincial Council).career civil servant in the body of secondary education teachers since 2001 (currently on leave). Reviewer of research journals and member of scientific committees of congresses and conferences. She belongs to the multidisciplinary research group IEDUCARTS whose main interest is the work from a multidisciplinary perspective in the classroom, focusing especially on artistic disciplines such as Cinema, Animation and Opera. Guest lecturer in the Ópera Oberta project "El Liceo en la Universidad", since the 2008/2009 season. 

Her main lines of research are Didactics of music listening, Tics and music education and educational innovation through interdisciplinarity and opera. Principal researcher of the Emerging R+D+i project The soundscape, listening, creation and recreation. Analysis of scenarios of environmental and music education, of the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as of the Network of teaching innovation L'hort-Ieducarts, 2.0. and 3.0 of the Vice-rectorate of Training Policies and Educational Quality of the Universitat de València, for several years. She is currently PI of the project El paisaje sonoro como contexto de aprendizaje interactivo, transversal e interdisciplinar (UV-SFPIE_PID19-1096358). Since 2020 she is Director of the research group iMUSED (Investigating Music Education GIUV2020-483), which aims to deepen the knowledge of music education from multiple perspectives such as educational innovation, interdisciplinarity, the study of the curriculum, musical identities and knowledge transfer. As an overall summary of his academic career, it is worth highlighting the publication of 130 articles (102 in scientific journals and 28 in non-indexed journals) and 84 research chapters, more than 250 contributions to conferences, either by means of papers or communications, participation in 3 research projects, 12 teaching innovation projects as PI and 18 as a team member, and the completion of 8 research stays and 5 teaching stays. He has 2 six-year research periods (2009-2014, 2015-2020) and 3 five-year teaching periods (2006-2011, 2012-2017 and 2018-2022).

In the teaching field, she has taught for a total of 20 academic years at the universities of Oviedo and Valencia, and has taught on the Master's Degree in Doctoral Studies for 12 years and on the Master's Degree in Secondary Education for 3 years. She has supervised 26 doctoral theses and 31 Master's Degree Final Projects (21 on research and 10 on the Master's Degree in Secondary Education), as well as 39 Bachelor's Degree Final Projects. The numerous teaching materials generated, as well as the involvement in innovation projects and participation in teaching congresses testify to the dedication to teaching and continuous improvement in teaching methodologies and techniques. 

Finally, in terms of management, I would highlight the work as secretary of the Department (2012-2015), being a member of the Academic Coordination Committee of the Master in Secondary Education Teacher (2011-2018), member of the Academic Coordination Committee of the Master in Research in Specific Didactics (2015-2020), coordinating the teaching project Ópera Oberta (2011-2014), and directing the Music classroom of the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Equality of the UV (2015-2018), among other activities. She has also directed the Master's Degree in Research in Specific Didactics at the Faculty of Education (2016-2018) and (2019-2020) and coordinated the PhD in Music (2015-2018). She has been Vice-Dean of academic planning and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Education. She has been Dean of the Faculty of Teaching Training since November 2020.

Biography
 

GUILLEM ESCORIHUELA (Silla, 1988) holds a PhD in Music Education Didactics from the University of Valencia (2017). He earned a Master’s degree in Research in Specific Didactics (2014) and a qualification as a Secondary Education Teacher (2011) from the same university. He also holds a Master’s degree in Musical Performance from the International University of Andalusia (2013) and a Higher Degree in Music from the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Conservatory of Valencia (2010). In addition, he is a political scientist (UV–UNIR, 2024), with training in political science and its relationship with education and culture.

He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical, Artistic and Music Education Didactics at the Faculty of Teacher Education of the University of Valencia. He is a member of the research group iMUSED (Investigating Music Education GIUV2020-483), whose lines of work address performative education, didactics in conservatories and music schools, and the study of audiences for musical performances and their impact within and through music education. He serves as a reviewer for national and international academic journals in education and social sciences. He is also part of the consolidated teaching innovation group Soundscape and the Eco-Didactic Garden as a Learning Context in Teacher Education (PaisoL’Hort – GCID23_2591227) and the emerging innovation group COMETA (Competences with Active Methodologies in Teacher Education: B-SMART with Design Thinking, PIEE_2736182). He collaborates with the ERUA Research Cluster “Arts@Matter,” led by the University of the Aegean.

He has published and presented research in the field of performative education and related areas. He has participated as a speaker and attendee at national and international conferences and seminars on music education at all levels. He has completed research and teaching stays at institutions such as the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon, the University of Aveiro, the University of Palermo, and the University of Jyväskylä. He holds a recognized six-year research period (CNEAI, 2016–2021) and is accredited as a Senior Lecturer (Contratado Doctor) by ANECA.

He is on leave from his position as Professor of Chamber Music with the Valencian regional government. He has taught in the Master’s program in Music Education Didactics at Jaume I University (2018/2019) and in Education degree programs at Florida Universitària (2019/2022). At the Higher Conservatory of Music in Castellón (CSMC), he directed the Chamber Music and Orchestra Department (2015/2022).

In academic management, he coordinated the Teaching Unit of Music and Didactics of Musical Expression at the University of Valencia. At the CSMC, he was responsible for the practicum committee and teacher training and served as secretary of the Academic Committee of the Master’s degree in Artistic Music Performance and Applied Research. He has been a member of the committee for research evaluation at the Higher Institute of Artistic Education of the Valencian Community. He currently serves as Head of Service of the Aula de Música within the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Society at the University of Valencia.

As a performer, he has been a member of formative orchestras such as OFUV and JOGV. Professionally, he has collaborated with the Valencia Orchestra, Castellón Symphony Orchestra, Bilbao Municipal Band, and the Chamber Orchestra of the Valencian Community, as well as various ensembles. Founder and member of several chamber music groups, he has performed in most venues dedicated to this repertoire in the Valencian region. As a performer, he has recorded albums focused on recovering Valencian musical heritage, as well as soundtracks and light music projects.

Biography
 

He is a musicologist specialising in historical musicology, with extensive experience in research, teaching, and team management. His multidisciplinary profile enables him to collaborate with specialists from various fields, including art historians, book historians, philologists, sociologists, and documentalists. He has combined his Master’s and Doctoral studies with teaching, musical direction, and institutional management.

In the academic sphere, Escrivà-Llorca has specialised in sixteenth-century noble patronage, taking part in European research groups and networks. He has led the research group MUSURBA on urban musicology and soundscapes and is an active member of other research teams such as IHA-UJI (Iconography and Art History at the Universitat Jaume I) and Musica Rudolphina (Prague). He has significantly contributed to studying patronage, material culture, and book history in musicology, publishing high-impact works. More recently, he has turned his attention to the didactics of music history, the training profiles of musicologists, and critical music education.

At the international level, he is a member of the COST Actions “A New Ecosystem of Early Music Studies (EarlyMuse)” and “Print Culture and Public Spheres in Central Europe 1500–1800 (PCPSce).” He regularly participates in international conferences and collaborative projects. In teaching, Ferran Escrivà-Llorca has extensive experience across various educational levels.

He has held positions at Universitat Jaume I (adjunct lecturer), Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias (interim full professor), and Universidad Internacional de Valencia (tenured professor and senior researcher), where he also served as Director of Teaching at the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching and Educational Innovation. He is involved in quality management projects, faculty training, and project evaluation. He is a quality advisor and academic evaluator for national and regional agencies. He is currently Secretary of the “Arts and Humanities” committee of the Agency for Scientific and University Quality of Andalusia (ACCUA).

His publications are widely available online and include, alongside peer-reviewed articles, contributions to national and international collective volumes such as New Perspectives on Early Music in Spain (Reichenberger, 2015), Hearing the City in Early Modern Europe (Brepols, 2018), Música a la Llum. Documentació i Patrimoni de les Bandes de Música (Institut Valencià de Cultura - Generalitat Valenciana, 2020), El Arte de la Persuasión: La fabricación mítica de la realeza (Universidad de Murcia, 2022), and Listening to Confraternities (Brill, 2024).

Biography
 

Rosa Isusi Fagoaga is a professor of musical expression teaching at the Faculty of Teacher Training at the University of Valencia, where she has been a lecturer and researcher since 2014 and vice-dean since 2021 to the present.

She holds a PhD from the University of Granada (2002) and a higher conservatory degree (1997). She has been teaching for more than 30 years and has taught at various educational levels.

She has 3 periods of research activity (six-year periods) recognized by the CNEAI (2006-2023) and more than a hundred publications. Her lines of research are, on the one hand, teaching, social, and sustainable innovation for the development of skills and, on the other, the optimization of music and heritage teaching, as well as its transfer. She has been part of research teams in several projects funded by the Generalitat Valenciana, the national research plan, and the European Erasmus+ program. She is currently co-principal investigator of a project under the knowledge generation plan of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, together with Adela García Aracil from the INGENIO Institute (CSIC-UPV), with whom she has formed UTRANSFER, a unit associated with the CSIC through INGENIO, within the University of Valencia. She is part of the iMUSED (Investigating Music Education) research group at the University of Valencia, led by Ana M. Botella Nicolás.

She has been the editor of the journal Creativity and Educational Innovation Review and the Monografies i Aproximacions collection of the University Institute of Creativity and Educational Innovations at the University of Valencia since 2017, both founded together with Francesc J. Hernàndez. She is co-creator of the University Network for Social Innovation together with Adela García Aracil and of the Didàctiques i Transformació Educativa collection published by Tirant Lo Blanch together with Margarida Castellano Sanz.

She is involved in several university educational innovation projects, one at the Faculty of Teacher Training, another focused on the use of soundscapes as an interdisciplinary educational tool (PAISOL'HORT), and another emerging project that he has been coordinating since 2023 on the development of skills through active methodologies (COMETA).

She is part of the group of experts for the process of developing the Valencian Regional Government's R&D&I Strategy for Security and Emergencies 2026-2029, organized in collaboration with the Network of Valencian Universities (RUVID).

She has been Vice Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Faculty, and Quality at the Faculty of Teacher Training (2021-2023), co-director of the Carme Miquel Interuniversity Chair of Educational Transformation (2022-2023) on behalf of the University of Valencia through an agreement with the Valencian Regional Government, and since 2024 she has been Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Research, and Quality.

She has been a member of the Governing Board of the Spanish Society of Musicology (2016-2024). She has been an associate professor at the Complutense University of Madrid (2005) and San Vicente Mártir University of Valencia (2005-2007) and has collaborated with the International University of Valencia (2012-2014) and the University of Málaga (2001-2003). She was a civil servant music teacher in secondary education for twenty years (1994-2014) and, prior to that, a choir teacher in primary education and a piano teacher at a music school.

She has been an advisor to the Valencian Institute of Music (now the Valencian Institute of Culture) of the Valencian Regional Government, for which she has coordinated the online cataloguing of the musical heritage of the Royal College Seminary of Corpus Christi in Valencia (2006-2014). This is the largest historical music archive and library in the Valencian Community and the access to the catalog with more than 5,500 entries is available through the Valencian Library website.

María Ordiñana Gil is a professor at the University of Valencia in the Department of Physical Education, Art, and Music Teaching.She was certified as Profesor Contratada Doctora (ANECA). Researcher with a recognized six-year research period (ANECA). She trained as a teacher specializing in music at the University of Valencia, completed her undergraduate studies in History and Music Sciences, and later earned her doctorate at the Catholic University of Valencia (2016) with a dissertation about music for nineteenth-century Spanish royal funerals. Ordiñana Gil has been the academic director of Arts, Humanities, and Communication and director of the Master's Degree in Musical Performance and Research at the International University of Valencia. In addition to her research, she has published articles in prestigious journals, has given lectures throughout Spain and abroad, and has been invited to several international universities: the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina “Santa María de los Buenos Aires” and the University of Bologna. Ordiñana Gil completed a research stay at The City University of New York in collaboration with the Foundation for Iberian Music, where she worked with Dr. Antoni Pizà and Dr. Allan W. Atlas.
