The conference, held on 25 March, includes sessions with professionals, workshops of UVjob and meetings with companies at the Faculty
The following 25 March, the Universitat de València will host the Forum of Philology, Translation and Communication, a conference aimed at students of the Faculty in order to approach professional environment and promote their employment.
The planning will begin with Professionals in the Classroom (9:00–10:00 h), specific sessions for each degree programme in which different professionals will share their experience and career opportunities in relation to Catalan Studies, Classical Philology, Modern Languages, Audiovisual Communication and Journalism, Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation, English Studies, and Hispanic Studies.
At the end of these sessions, the workshop of UVjob “CV y marca personal. Impulsa tu futuro profesional” (“CV and personal branding. Promote your professional future”) will be held, and it will be aimed at improving professional presentation and promoting employability. After the institutional welcome, the Faculty’s hall will host, from 11:30 to 14:00 h, stands of businesses and collaborating entities, where students will be able to learn about internship and job opportunities, and stablish direct contact with recruiters.
In the afternoon, the conference will continue with the practical workshop of UVjob “Prepara tus entrevistas de selección” (“Prepare your recruitment interviews”), and an informative session of the regional service of employment LABORA, aimed at career guidance programmes and resources.
The forum constitutes an opportunity to learn first-hand about career opportunities of these degrees, increase contact networks, and strengthen preparation for the access to the labour market.
