In the final year of the degree, compulsory curricular work placements should be undertaken. These are developed in all types of units and information services, such as archives, libraries and documentation centres, both in private companies and public institutions, and they may represent a mean of labour market.
The main objectives are:
- To enable students to apply and to complement the knowledge acquired in their academic training.
- To favour the acquisition of competences that prepare them for the exercise of professional activities, facilitate their employability and promote their entrepreneurship skills.
Workplacements are regulated by a framework cooperation agreement between the Universitat de València, the company, the institution or entity that receives the student and the ADEIT-University-Business Foundation. In recent years and only by way of example, information and documentation students have undertaken work placements in centres such as the Spanish Research Council (CSIC), the Valencian Parliament, the Nicolau Primitiu Valencian Library, the Historical Archive of the Valencian Community, the Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM), the Berklee College of Music - Valencia Campus, the "González Martí” National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts in Valencia, Broseta Abogados, SLP or J & A Garrigues, S. L.P.
