The 4th International Conference on Socioemotional Competencies for the Promotion of Health and Well-being will take place on February 18, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, in LPG Hall. The event is organized by the EMINA Research Group (Educating in Emotions in Childhood and Adolescence - GIUV2016-293) and is primarily aimed at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students, particularly those in Psychology and related fields.
The conference will cover various topics related to socioemotional well-being and health. Dr. René Gallardo from the Austral University of Chile will present on mental health. Additionally, Professor Vilma Vilca from the Catholic University of Arequipa (Peru) will discuss emotional education as a protective factor against gender-based violence, with a focus on Latin American contexts. Finally, the EMINA research group will lead a roundtable discussion on the implementation of emotional education in different populations, including adolescents, emerging adults, and individuals with chronic illnesses.
