European project eID4Spain: Connecting Regional and Local Administrations to Spanish eIDAS Node

The University of Valencia coordinates, through the IRTIC, the European project “eID4Spain: Connecting Regional and Local Administrations to Spanish eIDAS Node” (INEA/CEF/ICT/A2018/1633095), co-financed by the European Union's Connecting Europe Facility, to connect public e-services provided by 4 Spanish local and regional administrations (Junta de Extremadura, Diputación de Ciudad Real, Diputación de Valencia and Ayuntamiento de Rivas Vaciamadrid ) to the Spanish eIDAS node via CL@VE 2.0 in order to enable cross-border authentication in line with the eIDAS Regulation.

 

The Action will support Spain in meeting the requirements of the eIDAS Regulation and will facilitate access to Spanish public e-services for all EU citizens and businesses using their national eID, and thus ensure cross-border mobility and support and strengthen the Digital Single Market.

The participants of eId4Spain Project are:

1. Universitat de València (UVEG)

2. Leading Management Technology SL (LMT) - established in Spain

3. Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) - established in Spain

4. Junta de Extremadura (JE) - established in Spain

5. Diputación Provincial De Ciudad Real (DCR) - established in Spain

6. Diputació de València (DV) - established in Spain

7. Guadaltel SA (Guadaltel) - established in Spain

8. Ayuntamiento de Rivas Vaciamadrid (ARV) - established in Spain

 

The eID4Spain project is scheduled to start on 01/09/2018 and will end on 02/28/2020.

 

The University of Valencia, which coordinates the Project, will be responsible for the project administrative and financial management and project communication and dissemination.

 

The project has a total budget of € 398,629 and a EU CEF contribution of € 298,972.
